Nederlander Concerts has inked a multi-year agreement for exclusively programming and consulting for Pocatello’s Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre (The Port), the independent concert promoter announced today. The Port in Pocatello is a first-class, full-service permanent venue that has served the area and surrounding areas since 2015. The adaptable capacity works from an intimate lower bowl reserve seating of 2,000, or open pit, to a mid-level of 4,000 – 5,000 attendants, or an expanded configuration up to 10,000 by utilizing the full lawn. The large 60” x 57” stage can also serve as a cost-efficient rehearsal haven for acts starting a tour. Additionally, the venue serves as a community hub for a variety of local events.

The agreement broadens the venue’s industry and marketing reach, helping to focus on its capacity options and using Nederlander’s national expertise.

“With The Port in Pocatello, we’re able to give artists, managers, and agents three different-sized venues in one, allowing for broad market reach and booking capabilities,” said Alex Hodges, CEO of Nederlander Concerts. “The history and configuration of the venue provides optional goals and capacities. Our mission is to offer a wide variety of genres - diversify the bands and audiences. The Port is a first-class routable location for any national tour that includes the Northwest, and we’ll work with any and all promoters, regional or otherwise.”

“We’re very optimistic about our partnership and what Nederlander will bring to The Port. Our goal is to make The Port a destination venue and this partnership is a big step in that direction. I’m so excited for the next few seasons as they help us work towards that goal,” said Commissioner Jeff Hough.

“By partnering with Nederlander, we’ll be able to diversify the artists we bring to Pocatello so that all members of our community can enjoy live entertainment at our beautiful venue,” said Scott Crowther, Event Director for The Port.

The top-ranked Nederlander Concerts will add to the already significant history at The Port for live music, comedy, and family entertainment events from mid-May through mid-October, effective immediately.

Since opening, the venue has attracted an exciting array of artists that span the spectrum from heart-pounding rock to soul-stirring country. The energy of Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam, and Korn; the timeless sounds of The Beach Boys; the talents of The Piano Guys; and the comedy of Jim Gaffigan have captivated audiences. Post-COVID highlights include Papa Roach and Falling in Reverse in 2022, as well as Jon Pardi, Chris Young, and Ian Munsick, among others in 2023, who contributed to that year’s successes. The community events in 2023 included local high school graduations, a “Yoga at The Port” event for Healthy City, USA, and a recital for the local gymnasium, Randy’s Tumbling.

In addition to its dynamic scaling, The Port boasts four comfortable dressing rooms, including two “star” rooms, up-to-date production offices, a loading dock with two bays, a fully equipped kitchen, ample parking, expansive food and beverage facilities, and conveniently located merchandise spots. Additional offerings include pre-show party packages that provide exclusive perks such as early security entrance, extra artist merchandise sales, and special Meet & Greets.

Located 235 miles east of Boise on 80 sprawling acres of community space, The Port in Pocatello provides not just a venue, but an experience unto itself, hosting rodeos and a massive annual fireworks show. The grounds also feature a lake perfect for fishing enthusiasts and picturesque walking paths.
